IN THE PROCESS OF TIME

So it came to pass in the process of time that Hannah conceived and bore a son, and called his name Samuel, saying, “Because I have asked for him from the LORD.” - 1 Samuel 1:20 (NKJV)

Time is defined as ‘the indefinite continued progress of existence and events in the past, present, and future regarded as a whole.’  We may have succeeded in putting a measure on time, but its whole length remains uncertain.

The paradox of time is that despite its indefinite nature, it is still used to measure the length of events and life. Time defines lifespan. There is time for everything on the surface of the earth. Beyond this world, life could be forever but it is the time that makes life a vapour. Job said, “My days are swifter than a post..." (Job 9:25). Ecclesiastes 3:1 says, "There is a time to every purpose under the heaven: a time to be born and a time to die." So, time is too important to be ignored but must not be allowed to set you on the path of impatience. Time limits everything but you must never allow yourself to be limited by it. Time is too short to be wasted.

Time delivers. It sets an end to the suffering of the Israelites. “Now it happened in the process of time that the king of Egypt died.” (Exodus 2:23). The death of Pharaoh brought a great sigh to Israel at that time. Time heals. Allow time to heal your wound. After being offended or hurt, give yourself time to heal. Miracles come in time. "So it came to pass in the process of time that Hannah conceived and bore a son...” ( 1 Samuel 1:20).

Beloved, are you expecting something from the Lord? Your time of miracle is coming: your time to be celebrated and your time for breakthrough. But during the process of time, God wants you to be waiting in prayer, like Hannah did. For she said, “Because I have asked for him from the LORD.” James 1:4 says, "Let patience have her perfect work, that ye may be perfect and entire, wanting nothing." When you order anything from God, give Him time to deliver your package.

Today’s Recite: "For the vision is yet for an appointed time, but at the end, it shall speak, and not lie: though it tarries, wait for it; because it will surely come, it will not tarry. -Habakkuk 2:3

Today’s Morning Prayer: Oh Lord God I thank You for the opportunity of a life now. I repent of my impatience. I receive grace to wait for my time. Grant me patience to allow wounds to heal; my prayers to be answered and never to be too hasty ahead of You Lord. I ask for grace to utilise every time I have now to be loving, faithful and righteous in Jesus' name. Amen
