Now to Him who is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that works in us. - Ephesians 3:20 (NKJV)
Human imaginations often lean towards negativity rather than positivity. The words 'imagine' or 'imagination' are associated with evil or mischief more than 90% time they appear in the KJV Bible. Adults are substantially more sensitive to and significantly more influenced by negative than by positive information in the majority of psychological areas, which is consistent with an asymmetry in how they process and use positive versus negative information. There is a strong possibility that people pay particular attention to negative information even very early in development. Given the prejudice that adults universally exhibit, this unique attention has substantial purposes and repercussions in development, innovative ideas, faith in oneself and God and relationship with God and one another.
"And GOD saw that the wickedness of man was great in the earth, and that every imagination of the thoughts of his heart was only evil continually." (Genesis 6:5)
But it is beyond this negative imagination and limitations that God's wonders and miracles lie. For the Lord is “Able to succour them that are tempted” (Hebrew 2:18). And when you think holiness seems impossible, God is “Able to keep you from failing, and to present you faultless before the presence of His glory with exceeding joy.” (Jude 24).
Dear friend, stop imagining impossibility and negativity. Start working on your imagination from today. Reject every negative picture from your mind and replace them with possibilities, and great visions. You can be holy. You can be great! You can make heaven. Christ Jesus is “able ... to save them to the uttermost that come unto God by Him, seeing he ever liveth to make intercession for them.” (Hebrews 7:25). Daniel and his friends said, “Our God is... able to deliver us from the burning fiery furnace” (Daniel 3:17). When you need to safely secure your property, my Lord God is “Able to keep that which I have committed unto him against that day. (2 Timothy 1:12).
When you lack the grace to move further, do not give up. Remember there is a Jehovah who is “Able to make all grace abound toward you; that ye, always having all sufficiency in all things, may abound to every good work.” (2 Corinthians 9:8). Christ is asking you, what do you think? “Believe ye that I am able to do this? (Matthew 9:28).
Today’s Recite: What do ye imagine against the LORD? He will make an utter end: affliction shall not rise up the second time. - Nahum 1:9 (KJV)
Today’s Morning Prayer: My Able God, I thank You for another new day of possibility. I seek Your mercy and forgiveness from all negative imaginations. I receive grace and faith for miracles of salvation, sanctification, security and prosperity in Jesus’ mighty name. Amen!
