FAILED PATERNITY TEST

You are of your father the devil, and the desires of your father you want to do. He was a murderer from the beginning, and does not stand in the truth, because there is no truth in him… for he is a liar and the father of it.

John 8:44

After 8 years, Keith and Carol marriage was thrown into disarray when their daughter who needed an emergency blood transfusion didn’t match her father’s. This led to a quest for a paternity test that proved the 7 year old daughter was not Keith’s. Getting disappointed was an understatement in this matter as he was devastated by the failed paternity test.

There are probably many similar stories with even much older child paternity dispute.

As a once born again Christian, how disappointing would you think God will be after the sacrifices and many resources He had invested in you only to see that you belong to the father of all liars: the devil? The works of your hands and the words of your mouth will alway match your identity.

Backsliding breaks God’s heart. Backsliding depicts betrayal. It is a proof of failed paternity test. Of course the devil will always want to have you. But you need pray and overcome every temptation. You don’t want to lose your heirship in God’s kingdom. The devil is an instigator, and author of confusion. Don’t fall for him.

Dear friend, every fall into temptation is an evidence of failed paternity test. If you are truly a child of God, you will act in resemblance of Him. First John 3:9 says,

“Whoever has been born of God does not sin, for His seed remains in him; and he cannot sin, because he has been born of God.”

Today’s Recite: ’’Be ye therefore followers of God, as dear children." (Ephesians 5:1)

Today’s Morning Prayers:  O God, I thank You for today. Grant me Your grace to always carry with me the Spirit of Christ everywhere. I refuse to fall into the temptation of the devil. Stamp thine own imagine upon my heart in Jesus name. Amen!
