BLESSEDNESS IN ASSURED FORGIVENESS

“Blessed are those whose lawless deeds are forgiven, and whose sins are covered; Blessed is the man to whom the LORD shall not impute sin.” - Romans 4:7-8 (NKJV)

Once upon a time, there was a man who was very righteous and pious. He followed all the laws of God and tried to live a life of virtue and holiness. Despite his efforts, he was still troubled by the thought of his own sinfulness and often wondered if he was truly worthy of God's love and forgiveness.

One day, while he was pondering this, he heard a voice from heaven that said, "Blessed is the man to whom the LORD shall not impute sin." The man was filled with joy and gratitude as he realized that God had granted him mercy and grace. He was so thankful for the gift of forgiveness and knew that he would never be judged for his past mistakes.

The man was so grateful for this blessing that he dedicated the rest of his life to serving God and his fellow man. He was an example of faith and love to all who knew him and used his newfound freedom to bring joy and hope to those around him.

Dear friend, the guilt of past sins could no doubt cast you in bondage forever but having an assurance that your sins are forgiven and that you have a good standing before God is one of the greatest blessings you can ask for. It is an assured citizenship of the heavenly country. The man's story is a reminder to us that God is always willing to forgive and release us from the bondage of our sins. No matter how far you may have strayed, God is always ready to offer you mercy and grace. The man's story serves as an encouragement to us to continue to seek God's mercy and assurance of salvation.

Today’s Recite: “For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God, being justified freely by His grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus." - Romans 3:23-24 (NKJV)

Today’s Morning Prayer: Thank you Lord for Your mercy and grace. I come to You with my burden of sins and ask that You lift them off my heart. I need the assurance of Your forgiveness and salvation from all my past sinful deeds. I accept You as my personal Lord and Saviour. I shall live to honour and serve You for the rest of my life in Jesus name. Amen!
