YOUR LIFE, NOT YOUR DEATH

"As I live, saith the Lord GOD, I have no pleasure in the death of the wicked; but that the wicked turn from his way and live: turn ye, turn ye from your evil ways; for why will ye die, O house of Israel?" - Ezekiel 33:11

There was once a wealthy and powerful king who ruled over a peaceful kingdom. He had a beautiful and generous daughter but she had a dark side that nobody saw. She was a witch, wicked and cruel, and often took delight in hurting other people.

One day, her wickedness caught up with her. She fell ill. An angel appeared to her in a dream and warned her that her evil deeds would bring her nemesis and death but that the only way to avoid her downfall would be for her to repent and turn away from her wickedness. The daughter was scared, but she listened to the angel's advice. She dedicated herself to helping others and turned away from her wicked ways.

The king was relieved to see the change in his daughter, and the kingdom flourished once again. The daughter had learned her lesson, and her repentance had saved her from her own destruction. It also teaches us that God will always offer everyone the chance to repent.

Dear friend, God delights in your life, not in your death. There is no need to hold guilt and the burden of sins in your heart while you waste away in sorrow, poverty, misery and bondage. God bids you come to Him now. there is no sin so big or terrible that He can’t forgive. "Come now, and let us reason together, saith the LORD: though your sins be as scarlet, they shall be as white as snow; though they be red like crimson, they shall be as wool.” (Isaiah 1:18). "But there is forgiveness with You, that You may be feared.”

Today’s Recite: "The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance." - 2 Peter 3:9

Today’s Morning Prayer: O Lord Jesus I thank You for Your mercy and grace of second chance. I come to You with my burden of sins and Ask for Your forgiveness. Take all my quilts away. I receive Your grace and everlasting life of righteousness. I shall live and not die for in Jesus' name. Amen!
