October 1: DESIGNED TO MULTIPLY BY DEFAULT

DESIGNED TO MULTIPLY BY DEFAULT

Then he who had received the five talents went and traded with them, and made another five talents (Matthew 25:16).

In a recent business survey, unfortunately, many companies were found to have shut down due to unfruitful ventures. Some blamed their closure on the rising inflation rate, cost of production and, hostile business environment, while some were mainly due to scarcity of forex to import their raw materials.

By design and default, the world has no place for unfruitfulness. When God created the world, He gave an express command, “Be fruitful and multiply.” Our God is the God of multiplications. Everything He created was naturally made to grow in multiples with little or no effort from man.  And on this is where His blessings are guaranteed upon us. That little push and God's blessings are all that is required from you to be rich and wealthy. Or don’t you want to see your life mirror a grain of corn germinating to become hundreds, thousands and millions? It is the Lord's decree, “be fruitful and multiply”.

Our Lord Jesus Christ didn’t mince words when He based the kingdom of God on the principles of trading and profitability using many parables like the parable of the talents, the parable of the sower etc. God means business. Without multiplicity and profitability, man like many businesses would have gone extinct. Obedience to the first decree has kept and projected man to where he is today in terms of population and advancement in technology.

Beloved, you are under both His decree and covenant to trade and profit. He has provided you with enough talents, gifts and resources to trade with. Your intellect, your skills or strength, and your inheritance are parts of God-given talents. No one is created without a gift or ability to trade with. All areas of your life are meant to multiply. As you grow physically, so must you increase financially and spiritually.

God hates idleness and the unprofitable persons have no place or future in His kingdom. Paul admonished in Titus 3:14, "And let ours also learn to maintain good works for necessary uses, that they be not unfruitful." Does it appear business does not profit in your hands or your local congregation is not growing? You must be doing something wrong: wrong business, wrong place, wrong customers, wrong attitude, or hostile environment. As you step out today, push for a fruitfulness mindset and promise yourself you are returning in the evening with an increase.

Today’s Recite:  “The LORD your God will make you abound in all the work of your hand, in the fruit of your body, in the increase of your livestock, and in the produce of your land for good. For the LORD will again rejoice over you for good as He rejoiced over your fathers (Deuteronomy 30:9).

Today’s Morning Prayers: Oh God of multiplication and profitability, I thank You for the promise of multiplication on the work of my hands. I come to You for inspiration and insight into the most profitable trade for me. Grant me enough resources and grace to trade and multiply into profits in Jesus name. Amen!
