INBORN ERROR

“Behold, I was shapen in iniquity; and in sin did my mother conceive me” - Psalms 51:5

In the medical terms, inborn error is a consequence of alteration, abnormality or damage to any part of the human gene. Such consequence may result in digestion problem, disability, frequent sicknesses, and susceptibility to diseases due to problem with immunity. It is not the suffer’s fault. They are just victims of inborn errors.

In similar fashion, everyone born of a woman has inborn error called sin. Sin is the chief of all inborn errors which has been passed from our first parents, Adam and Eve. Sin is a genetic ailment.  You have no power or control over it. It is all inherited, it is inborn. It is not your fault that you sin but like those with genetic diseases, the pain and agony is on you. The sorrow of sin should no longer exist if you will seek help today.

 Dear friend, apart from the chief inborn error, you may have a disability or genetic ailment too. They are more than often related to a single source of error. Today you are well, tomorow you are not. You cry almost every night. What has incapacitated you? You dont have to hide it anymore because God knows it. You are not alone. ”For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God” (Romans 3:23). Hence, you need to run to the Great Physician.

Christ Jesus, the Great Physician, offers full salvation and deliverance for all our sins. Repent and be converted. Ask for God’s healing grace. But it does not just end there. He requires you to keep sin (that inborn error) under control by reading the word of God. So like David, you may also say, “Thy word have I hid in mine heart, that I might not sin against thee.” (Psalms 119:11).  And finally, be sanctified.

Today’s Morning Prayer:  1. Oh Lord, the Great Physician, I come today with all my inborn errors, known and unknown sins. Forgive me. Heal me. Save me. Make me pure and white as snow. 2. Hear my voice as I call upon You for deliverance from all ancestral and familiar errors and sin in Jesus name. Help me to be faithful to reading your word, praising You. As I step out today, I offer my life as a living sacrifice, incensed before You in Jesus name. Amen!
