A GOOD REPORT BY FAITH

"Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen. For by it the elders obtained a good report." - Hebrews 11:1-2

At the young age of 24, Michelangelo was eulogised as a genius during the Renaissance for creating the Pietà (the sculpture of Jesus Christ being held by Mary after He was brought down from the cross).  

Michelangelo, however, thought otherwise. "It would not seem so wonderful at all if people knew how hard I had to work to gain my mastery," he remarked. He lived with a stonecutter from the age of six to ten, where he picked up skills with a hammer and chisel. After that, he worked as an apprentice for the renowned Ghirlandaio, copying, sketching, and preparing murals in one of Florence's biggest churches. He then received tutelage from renowned sculptor Bertoldo and other notable figures till the age of seventeen. He created the Pietà at the age of 24. 

Talents create opportunities to succeed. However, it is not a guarantee of success and does not always come readily. It is possible to develop talent and accomplish goals with patience, perseverance, and constant action.

Like talents, faith is a skill that can be developed through patience, perseverance and consistency. Years of patience and behind-the-scenes labour are frequently the cause of sustainable instant success. Success is never achieved by talent alone. Far more important are diligence, perseverance, and resilience.

Beloved, if you will obtain a good report in your career and before God, the principle is the same. Maybe you endorsement or references to be recognised locally, nationally or worldwide, you need a good report of faith, a sustainable act of faith in what you do, in yourself and above all, in God. Like the heroes of faith, you can have your name written in the hall of faith.

Today’s Recite:  "But without faith, it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that He is, and that He is a rewarder of them that diligently seek Him." Hebrews 11:6 

Today’s Morning Prayer:  Heavenly Father I ask for grace to have faith to succeed in life. I want to be known or renowned for a good cause in life. I need Your divine endorsement. I need a divine report and reference to get my next job. Grant me that faith that will impress You in Jesus mighty name. Amen!
