WHAT DO YOU SEE?
He asked him if he saw anything. And he looked up and said, “I see men like trees, walking.” - Mark 8:23-24
Vision is the most developed sense in human because it combines information from all other four senses to help us form opinions and decisions. Our vision influences our perception and our perception shapes our faith. What you therefore see matters a lot to your life and they shape your future.
Vision is so specific and sensitive that what you see others may not. Vision is also subjective. And it is possible to be in darkness without knowing it or be blind to something that is obvious to others. So, it is not surprising to read the David say, “Open thou mine eyes, that I may behold wondrous things...” Psalm. 119:18. And for this reason, our Lord Jesus Christ opened (the disciples) understanding, that they might understand the scriptures. (Luke 24:45). Great promises and blessings are hidden in the Scriptures for you. You need to see them to claim them.
Dear friend, the eyes rely solely on the LIGHT to see vision. Jesus is the Light, the Way and the Truth. Vision may be blurred, uncleared or incomprehensible. Further divine guidance is needed before taking any step. Sin brings absolute obscurity (darkness). Come out of your confusion or darkness into the marvellous light of Christ today. Whatever you see without Christ is a mirage. You need Jesus to see clearly. If you want to see great visions for your life, you need to abide in the Light. Like certain Greeks who told Philip, saying, ”Sir, we would see Jesus.” (John 12:21).
Today’s Recite:The statutes of the LORD are right, rejoicing the heart: the commandment of the LORD is pure, enlightening the eyes. Psalms 19:8
Today’s Morning Prayer:
The God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory... give unto you the spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of him: the eyes of your understanding being enlightened; that ye may know what is the hope of his calling, and what the riches of the glory of his inheritance in the saints" (Ephesians 1:17-18). Amen!
1. Oh Lord, Jesus, You are the light. Give me revelation and vision of great things You plan for me.
2. I confess to losing sight of You. That is past now.
3. Help me to see wondrous things and not negativity.
4. I pray that You will enlighten my understanding of people and things in my environment. Help me to see blessings and not evil. Keep me and my family safe in Jesus mighty name. Amen!
