"O taste and see that the LORD is good: blessed is the man that trusteth in him." - Psalms 34:8
Has it ever occurred to you that God will never do anything evil? However, believers over the ages may have continued to accept evil occurrences as acts of God. But from Genesis to Revelation, all that the Lord God does is good, and no evil.
In Genesis 1:31, "And God saw everything that he had made, and, behold, it was very good." In Deuteronomy 26:11, "And thou shalt rejoice in every good thing which the LORD thy God hath given unto thee, and unto thine house, thou, and the Levite, and the stranger that is among you." The good thing is not limited to us alone but for our sake, our household and strangers around us shall feel the goodness of our God too. Not only to the saint, Psalms 145:9 says, "The LORD is good to all: and his tender mercies are over all his works. In the Book of Psalms 73:1, Asaph declared. "Truly God is good to Israel, even to such as are of a clean heart." And in Psalms 84:11, David affirmed, "For the LORD God is a sun and shield: the LORD will give grace and glory: no good thing will he withhold from them that walk uprightly." The prophets declared also that God is good always. the LORD is good; and good unto them that wait for him, to the soul that seeketh him: (Jeremiah 33:11; Lamentations 3:25 (KJV). Nahum 1:7 says, "The LORD is good, a stronghold in the day of trouble; and he knoweth them that trust in him."
In Ecclesiastes 2:26, Solomon, the wise king said, "For God giveth to a man that is good". and In chapter 3 verse 13, he also declared, "And also that every man should eat and drink, and enjoy the good of all his labour, it is the gift of God."
Beloved, our Lord Jesus Christ declared in the gospels, "None is good, save one, that is, God." (Luke 18:19). God does not tempt with evil. If any evil is happening, know for sure it is not from the Lord. "Yea, the LORD shall give that which is good" only.(Psalms 85:12) God is good always. As you go out today, may the Lord be good always to you now and forever in Jesus name. Amen!
