NOVEMBER 13: PREJUDICE BLINDS THE MIND

Daily Companion  | 13 November

PREJUDICE BLINDS THE MIND

In whom the god of this world hath blinded the minds of them which believe not, lest the light of the glorious gospel of Christ, who is the image of God, should shine unto them. - 2 Corinthians 4:4

Prejudice is a preconceived opinion or idea that lacks evidence of truth, reason or actual experience. Prejudice is a closed mind to the truth and reality. A closed mind lacks innovation and would not be progressive. Those who have closed minds to the gospel of Salvation are under the influence of Satan. And to worsen the situation, they remain oblivion to this truth until the Holy Spirit works on them.

The wiles of the devil cannot be underestimated. From the foundation of the world, till the world ends, the devil will continue to rule the minds of the unsaved.  One of the greatest strategies of the devil is to put a veil over people's minds thinking they are free when they are actually bound; thinking they can see when in reality they are blind. The secret sins men and women, youth and adults commit are influenced by the devil who influences their minds. All believers are warned to beware of the schemes of Satan!

All sinners belong to the devil. "For this purpose, Jesus Christ came to destroy the works of the devil" (1 John 3:8)A life without Christ is a devil’s toy. Satan tosses with men’s hearts and minds and has succeeded in destroying, killing and sending many lives to hell where he too belongs. The devil is a ravening wolf on the rampage. Every wise person takes refuge in Christ.

Dear friend, You may be learned or have grown in knowledge of this world, but still blind to the gospel truth. You must ask and allow Christ to open your mind to see the wondrous works of the Spirit. Repent this morning, surrender to Jesus Christ. As you open up your mind so shall the doors of opportunities for greatness be open to you in Jesus' name. Amen!

Today’s Recite:  "In that day the deaf shall hear the words of the book, and the eyes of the blind shall see out of obscurity and out of darkness." - Isaiah 29:18

Today’s Morning Prayer: Oh Lord Jesus, I thank You for exposing the wiles of the devil. I open up my heart to You this day. I confess all my sins of prejudice. I hereby surrender my life to You. As you have promised, I ask You to completely open my eyes to see the great things of Your kingdom. Grant me Your everlasting truth. Amen!

Today’s Hymn: Out of My Bondage
