KNOCK HARDER

“Behold, the Lord's hand is not shortened, that it cannot save; neither his ear heavy, that it cannot hear. - Isaiah  59:1

A young female student who lived off campus was coming home from a evening class study one day. It was getting dark as she walked towards her rented apartment, she noticed two men trailing her at a distance. Scared she was in danger, she started running towards the house. The house entrance was already locked.  Knocking but no answer, and the men were getting closer. But a voice wispered to her. “knock harder”. With all her strength and shout she knocked harder, Not only was the whole house awoken but the whole neighbourhood.

Some times desperate situation demands desperate prayer. Some matters of life may become emergent and urgent and you need immediate solutions. Though God said, knock and the door shall be open to you. And you knock but no answer yet. Like the student, may be you need to knock harder and longer. You can never pray enough until God answers. David said, in the day when I cried thou answeredst me, and strengthenedst me with strength in my soul (Psalm 138:3). And He will always answer at about time. Daniel said, “while I was speaking in prayer, even the man Gabriel...touched me about the time of the evening oblation.” (Daniel 9:21).

Beloved, unlike men, God is always at home. His ears are not heavy. Perhaps, an iniquity obstructing your prayer, needs to be confessed. Sins will need to be put away. And all done, never give up. Knock harder. Pray harder. Our Lord God made the heaven and the earth by His great power and stretched out arm, and there is nothing too hard for Him. (Jeremiah 32:17). He delivered and still delivers. He will open doors for you. Every closed door will be open this morning. Just knock harder until the door is open.

Today’s Recite: “Shall not God avenge his own elect, which cry day and night unto him, though he bear long with them? I tell you that he will avenge them speedily. - Luke 18:7, 8

Today’s Morning Prayers:  I thank You O God for the promise of open doors. I confess every sin that may make You not hear me. By mercy pardon O Lord.. I knock at Your door this morning. Answer me speedily in Jesus name. Amen!
