Then she called the name of the LORD who spoke to her, You-Are-the-God-Who-Sees; for she said, “Have I also here seen Him who sees me?” - Genesis 16:13
The best and largest intelligence gathering is with God. The actions and inactions of nations and kingdom leaders are open to God. Unlike man who relies on evidence from eye-witnesses or closed-circuit television (CCTV) cameras to monitor activities of people, “The eyes of the LORD run to and fro" billions of the world’s inhabitants, "to shew himself strong on the behalf of them whose heart is perfect toward him" (2 Chronicles 16:9) by protecting them from all harms.
Not only the physical actions, God watches the intent of the heart and the unspoken words of men. David perfectly captured this in Psalm 139:1-4 and 6. “O LORD, thou hast searched me, and known me. Thou knowest my downsitting and mine uprising, thou understandest my thought afar off...and art acquainted with all my ways. For there is not a word in my tongue, but, lo, O LORD, thou knowest it altogether... Such knowledge is too wonderful for me: it is high, I cannot attain unto it."
Dear friend, nothing is hidden from the Lord. “The eyes of the LORD are in every place, beholding both the evil and the good" (Proverbs 15:3). God sees your afflictions and sufferings. God sees the threat to your life and future. God knows your pursuit and struggles. “The Lord knowest all things (John 21:17). God will arise for your help in due time. Remember, He watches your attitude also and the question now is, “Have you also seen Him who sees you?” Are you aware God watches you? Have you met Him? You can have an encounter with God today. It is just a short prayer away. Ask Him to open your eyes. “He who walks righteously and speaks uprightly”... his eyes will see the King in His beauty” (Isaiah 33:15 NKJV).
Today’s Recite: “The ways of man are before the eyes of the LORD, and he pondereth all his goings" (Proverbs 5:21)
Today’s Morning Prayers: El Roi, I thank You for watching over me 24/7. I confess all unapproved actions and I ask that by Your mercy pardon. Open my eyes to see You today in Your awesome beauty even as You keep Your eyes on me to lead and guide. In Jesus mighty name, I pray! Amen!
