GOD’S GREAT MERCY

Great is Thy mercy toward me and Thou hast delivered my soul from the lowest hell. - Psalm 86:13

People would rejoice for being saved from calamity of sickness, accidents or natural disaster but a greater mercy happens when one is delivered from going down to hell. Only God’s mercy can prevent man from the anguish of hell fire. We all need this great mercy.

The torment of hell in itself is agonising. Hell has enlarged its space to accommodate more (Isaiah 5:14) since more souls continue to follow satan and inglorious sinful way. Souls in hell cry of sorrowful pains 24/7 non-stop. Make no mistake, but be informed that satan himself is also candidate of hell. “Then He [the Lord] will also say to those on the left hand, ‘Depart from Me, you cursed, into the everlasting fire prepared for the devil and his angels’” (Matthew 25:41).

Dear friend, the devil, though can afflict the body, has no power over your soul: only God does. You need God’s mercy to escape from going down to hell. For what will it profit a man if he gains the whole world but loses his soul in hell? Hence fear God “who is able to destroy both soul and body in hell.”(Matthew 10:28). The fear of God dispels the fear of hell when your sins are forgiven.  “Whoever confesses and forsakes them will have mercy” (Proverbs 28:13). Until you hear Him say to you, “Fear not: for I have redeemed thee (Isaiah 43:1), the danger of hell lies ahead. No money, wealth or world best lawyer can save anyone except Jesus Christ. “Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved” (Acts 4:12). Run to God's great mercy seat now!

Today’s Recite: God, who is rich in mercy, for his great love wherewith he loved us, even when we were dead in sins, hath quickened us together with Christ. (Ephesians 2:4,5)

Today’s Morning Prayers:  Oh Lord God, I thank You for Your mercy which is still available for me today. I confess and forsake my sinful ways in exchange for Your great mercy. Deliver me from hell. I shall not go to hell in Jesus name. I am redeemed by the blood of Jesus Christ my Lord. Amen!
