IT IS WHAT YOU CALL IT

 Out of the ground the LORD God formed every beast of the field and every bird of the air, and brought them to Adam to see what he would call them. And whatever Adam called each living creature, that was its name. Genesis 2:19 (NKJV)

There is a story about a child and an old man. It happened that a young boy took a butterfly in his hand and walked up to the old man and asked “this butterfly in my hand; is it a living one or dead?” The old man was lost in thought for a moment ruminating on what answer to give.  if he told the boy that the butterfly was dead; the boy would kill it in between his palm. If otherwise he says; “it is dead’’; the boy would open his palm for the butterfly to fly away making the old man a liar. The old man then simply said, “it is what you call it’’ 

There is power in your tongue to make alive, good, bad, bitter or otherwise. The power of life and death is in your tongue; those that use it will obtain the due rewards.Moses called Oshea, Joshua (Numbers 13:16   ). Jesus named Simon, Peter. Adam also called his wife Eve. Jacob called his last child Benjamin as oppose Benoni his mother called him (Genesis 35:16-20 ). What did I hear you calling yourself, wife, husband, children, business, present situation, future? As you speak in my hearing, God says, “so would I do unto you’’. Learn how to make good and positive confession about yourself and others. There is power in your tongue. 

What have you been called before now? Are you called a dullard, failure, backslider, a sinner or coward? God can reverse it. Jacob made negative utterance about Reuben (Genesis 49:1-2) but Moses reversed it (Deuteronomy 33:6). I decree today, all negative utterances against you are hereby reversed in Jesus nameEvery true child of God is a prophet. But a sinner lack power to reverse negative utterances. However, if such a one repents of his sins, he shall be forgiven and have the right to this power. Backsliders must come back to the Lord while believers should maintain right standing with the Lord to continue to enjoy this privilege. From now onward, as you speak, so shall it be in Jesus name.

Today’s Morning Prayers:  Thank You Lord for the power given to me to decree and to come to pass. Lord, I am sorry for initial wrong use of my tongue. Today, I give new name to my wife, husband, children, business and feature, receive new name in Jesus name. Amen!
