GOD BLESS YOU

The blessing of the LORD, it maketh rich, and he addeth no sorrow with it. Proverbs 10:22

Isaac had become old and decided to pass the blessings to his heir. He had only two sons who are twins. So, there is no way there won’t be a bias in choosing who to pass the blessings to. The blessings were very important to every member of the family including Rebecca. This underscores the importance of blessings. If man can be so desperate to receive a father’s blessings, O how much should we be eager for God’s blessings!

The blessing of the Lord is far exceeding. In the King James Version of the Bible, the words, “bless” (117), “blessed” (287), “blessing” or “blessings” (73) appear 477 times in total and each book of the Bible.  As read in our focal verse, the Lord’s blessings make us rich. But the blessings of God is not without conditions. Although God can choose to bless anyone at will but fulfilling certain conditions guarantees God’s blessings upon you.

First, the righteous. “Thou, LORD, wilt bless the righteous; with favour wilt thou compass him as with a shield.” (Psalm 5:12).

Second, the obedient. “A blessing, if ye obey the commandments of the LORD your God, which I command you this day” (Deuteronomy 11:27). When the Lord blesses, He also secures you. And may the Lord bless thee, and keep thee. The LORD make his face shine upon thee, and be gracious unto thee. The LORD lift up his countenance upon thee, and give thee peace (Number 6:24-26).

Lastly, the dutiful. God has conditioned to bless those who work hard. For the LORD thy God hath blessed thee in all the works of thy hand (Deuteronomy 2:7). Have you been working hard, begin to experience God’s blessings from this day onward. Psalms 67:7 (KJV). God shall bless us; and all the ends of the earth shall fear him. (Psalms 67:7).

Today’s Recite: And God Almighty bless thee, and make thee fruitful, and multiply thee, that thou mayest be a multitude of people; (Genesis 28:3).

Today’s Morning Prayer: My heaven father I thank You for another new day of blessings. I receive Your blessings upon the work of my hands. Grant me grace to be righteous, more dutiful and obedient. You promise to secure me and my blessings. I receive this blessings to Your glory and honour forever and ever in Jesus’ name. Amen

Today’s Hymn: There Shall Showers Of Blessingsr Jesus

Today’s Read Me: Joshua 1 – 3
