GOD’S SECRET SECURITY CAMERAS

The spirit of man is the candle of the LORD, searching all the inward parts of the belly.  - Proverbs 20:27

There have been several thefts in a small business company. All the employees became suspects except the owner. The owner took several steps to curb it including searching his workers as they leave the company premises at every closing time. But none of his workers was ever caught. So, he decided to set up secret cameras inside and outside the company premises. Surprisingly, his son who often came over to help after school was caught on the camera stealing items into his backpack.

When God created man He installed a secret security camera in him. This secret camera is the spirit of man. The spirit monitors your activities, every single thought and intents. Christ looked through the secret cameras in the accusers of the woman caught in adultery before saying, “He that is without sin among you, let him first cast a stone at her...(John 8:7).

The spirit of man is God’s searchlight. God owns the spirit. It is the security camera set up inside you at creation. “But there is a spirit in man and the breath of the Almighty gives him understanding.” (Job 32:8). The searchlight watches what your soul does whether it is good or evil. The thought to do good or otherwise is captured by your spirit. “To him that knoweth to do good, and doeth it not, to him it is sin. (James 4:17).

Dear friend, there is nothing hidden before God. As long as we still breathe, the spirit watches our actions and inactions. You may decide to keep silence, but God knows your heart. He knows the unsaid words. Every secret sin is captured by the spirit. Every movement is monitored by God’s secret security camera. You are called unto sober reflection this morning. Watch your thoughts. If unclean, ask for sanctification. If unredeemed, ask for salvation. David said, Search me, O God, and know my heart: try me, and know my thoughts: and see if there be any wicked way in me, and lead me in the way everlasting. (Psalm 139:23, 24).

Today Recite:If our heart condemn us, God is greater than our heart, and knoweth all things. Beloved, if our heart condemn us not, then have we confidence toward God. (1 John 3:20,21).

Today’s Morning Prayer. Heavenly Father, I thank You for another exposition this morning. I pray that You save me from secret sin and cleanse me from every impure thought. Keep watchful over my thought and intent by Your grace. Keep me holy and upright before you in Jesus name. Amen
