MAKING YOUR MESS YOUR MESSAGE

Bible Passage: 1 Samuel 1:1-28

‘’and she said, oh my lord, as thy soul liveth, my lord, I am the woman that stood by thee here, praying unto the Lord. For this child I prayed…’’ (1 Samuel 1:26-27)

Once upon a time, one Mrs Hannah Elkanah was addressing her pastor and shared the testimony of how bareness of several years vanished in an annual programme she had been attending for several years. She was the first wife in a polygamous family but had no child. This singular issue became a source of sorrow to her as the second wife often mocked at her because of the delay in childbearing. Mrs Hannah took it upon herself to seek the face of God sincerely at one of the annual programmes. In God’s miraculous way, she conceived and bare a son who grew to become one of the renown prophets in history of man. This is aside other children given to her by God. This indeed is a mess turned to a message.

Mrs Elkanah Hannah’s testimony re-echoes that no condition is permanent; no matter how hard or strange it may seem. You are the number one success factor in your life, not money, government, family, or friends. It is very important you are positively minded about your challenges knowing fully well that it is temporary. Presenting your challenges to God to find solution to it is another lesson you should learn from this story.

Today, many seek help where their challenges could be compounded. “God is our helper and the present help in trouble” (Psalms 46:1). She did not focus her prayer on the mocking second wife, rather, she asked for something that will silence the enemy. Can you imagine the self-control of the woman, even when she was accused wrongly of drunkenness? Like the serial divorcee woman of Samaria Jesus met by well well in John chapter 4, Hannah eventually shared her testimony as God turned her mess to her message. What is that shame, that mess in your life that often draws secret tears from your eyes? Come believing today, it is about to be turned to message of testimony. Amen!

Today’s Recite: ‘’One thing I know: that though I was blind, now I see.’’. John 9:25

Today’s Morning Prayers:  Thank you Lord  because you are the God that changes times and seasons. Give me grace to see You in all my challenges. I obtain faith to take the appropriate steps in Jesus’ name. Today I declare that my mess be turned to my message in Jesus’ name. Amen!
