IN THIS IS LOVE

In this is love, not that we loved God, but that He loved us and sent His Son to be the propitiation for our sins. - 1 John 4:10

LOVE is something everyone wants to receive but unfortunately not willing to give. At times, when people do love only few understand what it means to truly love.

It happened that God was moved with compassion and looked upon mankind to rescue it from eternal damnation and destruction. But He needed someone to carry out the sacrificial command to redeem man from sin whose wages is death. Then, for this purpose Jesus Christ came to die for the sins of all: In this is love. For "greater love has no one than this, than to lay down one’s life for his friends." (John 15:13).

Though love is simple to recieve but it is sacrificial to give: in this is love. A selfish person cannot therefore love because love requires that you do to others what you want them to do to you. "You shall love your neighbor as yourself. There is no other commandment greater than these.” (Mark 12:31).

To rescue the perishing from eternal destruction: in this is love. Preaching the gospel of Love to you neighbour is nobler than backbiting about his wayward life.  The cause of love is to spread the message of genuine repentance from sin through the atoning blood of the Lamb, Jesus Christ.

Beloved, if God so loved us, we also ought to love one another, for in this is love. (1 John 4:11). In this is love: if you have discovered a path to greatness, show it others in need too. In this is love: if you are fed, feed others too. If you are saved, save others too. Therefore, out of your comfort zone, show a sacrificial love to someone today - to a friend, to a neighbour, to a family or a colleague.

Today’s Recite: And I heard the voice of the Lord, saying, Whom shall I send, and who will go for us? Then said I, Here am I; send meIsaiah 6:8.

Today’s Morning Prayer: O LORD God, I thank You for revealing true Love to me today. Forgive me for not loving enough. Grant me grace to show Your love by preaching redemption to all mankind from today. May the eyes world of the world and Christians be opened to the cause of God in Jesus mighty name I pray. Amen.
