A brother was listening to a song recently. The song was authored by a renowned world praise worship leader, Don Moen. He had known the song for several years but it had never assuaged so much as the recent play of Praise Looks Good On You song.
It affirms the beauty that praise brings. It infers that every time you praise God, you express happiness and satisfaction. Research studies have shown that happiness brings beauty. And beauty equals happiness. A corollary to this finding is that the less happy you are the less beautiful you are. Interestingly, the study also affirms that praise and happiness are attractive. Happiness attracts people to you and much more God.
Beloved, while you spend minutes working out, or playing daily, try praising God and rejoicing in Him too. It does not only add beauty to your life, but praise also brings God’s goodness and presence to your life. The effects are incredible. David said, it is a good thing to give thanks unto the LORD, and to sing praises unto thy name, O most High: to shew forth thy lovingkindness in the morning, and thy faithfulness every night (Psalm 92:1,2).
More important is the acceptability of your praise before God. God wants to see Genuity and godliness in your praise. We are to present your bodies a living sacrifice,. holy, acceptable unto God (Roman 12:1).
Therefore, let us offer the sacrifice of praise to God continually, that is, the fruit of our lips giving thanks to his name (Hebrew 13:15). Are you sad? Praise God, and you will be happy. In everything, everywhere, in anyways, praise God because praise looks good on you!
