GOD'S MYSTERY FOR THE WORLD'S MISERY

We speak the wisdom of God in a mystery, even the hidden wisdom, which God ordained before the world unto our glory. I Corinthians 2:7

You may still wonder about the person of God. Of course, yes, God is a Person but more interestingly is that every attribute of God is personified making Him exist in different Persons. His beauty, spirit, eyes, hands, feet, words, etc are all personified. This is why our God is supreme. God is an embodiment of creations. But of great interest to today’s lesson is His personified wisdom.

God chose to tackle world’s most difficult misery (sin), by mystery (Jesus Christ). God personalised His wisdom and word to form the person of Christ. His wisdom, His word became a person. And the Word became flesh and dwelt among us, and we beheld His glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father, full of grace and truth (John 1:14). This is the mystery that has continued to evade scientific, philosophical, or religious explanations till date. The mystery, which from the beginning of the world hath been hid in God, who created all things by Jesus Christ:...the manifold wisdom of God (Ephesians 3:9,10). Christ Jesus, who of God is made unto us wisdom, and righteousness, and sanctification, and redemption (I Corinthians 1:30).

This Wisdom, ironically was presented with so much simplicity that it appears as foolishness to the world. …to the Greeks foolishness, but to those who are called, both Jews and Greeks, Christ the power of God and the wisdom of God. Because the foolishness of God is wiser than men, and the weakness of God is stronger than men (1 Corinthians 1:23-25).

This mystery called the Wisdom of God is the Saviour and Giver of Life. Irrespective of your achievement or intellectual capacity, without this Wisdom, you are nothing but a fool.

Do you still lack Jesus Christ? Here is the solution: If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God, that giveth to all men liberally, (James 1:5). Jesus Christ, the Wisdom of God is first pure, then peaceable, gentle, and easy to be in-treated, full of mercy and good fruits, without partiality, and without hypocrisy (James 3:17).

Today’s Recite:We speak the wisdom of God in a mystery, even the hidden wisdom, which God ordained before the world unto our glory (I Corinthians 2:7).

Today’s Morning Prayer:

  • Heavenly Father, I thank You revealing Your mystery to me today.
  • Make my heart and intellect the abode of Your Wisdom from today henceforth.
  • Grant me that wisdom that will keep me away from sinful habits; wisdom to succeed in life.
  • Help me to spread Your wisdom to others around me: that the world may be full more and more of You. In Jesus mighty name I pray.

Today’s Hymn: Jesus I My Cross Have Taken

Today’s ReadMe: Genesis 36 - 38
