RISE UP AND WALK!

The steps of a good man are ordered by the LORD: and he delighteth in his way. Though he fall, he shall not be utterly cast down: for the LORD upholdeth him with his hand. (Psalm 37:23, 24)

It was a sunny afternoon about 3pm that Peter and John went up together to the temple. A congenitally crippled man was often laid daily at the temple gate called Beautiful, to ask alms from those entering the temple.  On seeing Peter and John about to go into the temple, he asked them for alms. Peter turned about and said, Look at us.” “Silver and gold I do not have, but what I do have I give you: In the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, rise up and walk.” And he took the lame man by the right hand and lifted him up, and immediately his feet and ankle bones received strength. So, he, leaping up, stood and walked and entered the temple with them—walking, leaping, and praising God.

Above account in the chapter 8 of Acts of the Apostles re-echoes God’s ever-readiness to lookout for His wounded soldiers on the life battlefield. Life may have hit you bad and down. Like the lame man, your problem could be since birth, or acquired along the journey of life. Your down part of life could be in children-bearing, relationship, business, career, or finances. Several times you have tried to get yourself out the mess you or others have brought you into.

Beloved, there is good news for you today. God has this message for you: RISE UP AND WALK. No more cast-down. It is time for lifting up. It is time to rise up.  The scriptures says, Many are the afflictions of the righteous: but the LORD delivereth him out of them all (Psalm 34:19). The Lord will deliver you today. You are no more alone. With us is the LORD our God to help us, and to fight our battles. (2 Chronicles 32:8). All that is required from you now is to call on God.

Today’s Recite: The LORD thy God in the midst of thee is mighty; he will save, he will rejoice over thee with joy. Zephaniah 3:17.

Today’s Morning Prayer: O LORD God, I thank You for another day another hope. I am weak but You are strong. I receive Your strength to rise, stand and walk. Fight my battle for me today and forever. I pray for Your righteousness to keep me under Your radar in Jesus mighty name I pray. Amen.

Today’s Hymn: MY HOPE IS BUILT ON NOTHING LESS
