WHAT DO YOU SEE?
The light of the body is the eye: therefore when thine eye is single, thy whole body also is full of light. Luke 11:34.
When Jesus Christ came to Bethsaida a blind man was brought to Him. So, He took the blind man by the hand and led him out of the town. And when He had spit on his eyes and put His hands on him, He asked him if he saw anything. The man looked up and said, “I see men like trees, walking.” Then He put His hands on his eyes again and made him look up. And he was restored and saw everyone clearly (Mark 8:22-25).
What you see defines you. How, you may ask? It is a common knowledge that people see things differently. This is called viewpoint, also known as the perspective. Perspective creates opinion. Opinion influences belief. Belief is reflected in daily attitude and actions. So many wrong, bad attitude or actions towards others or things are often based on what you see in them. The life you live today is based on what you see or believe in. If you see success, then you are a success. If you see health, then you are healed. If you see abundance, you will never lack anything. If you see holiness, you will not be immoral. Beloved, you need Jesus to see great and wondrous things but You allow Him in first to:
(i) remove the veil from your eyes. The light of the body is the eye. When it is veiled or blind, it can only see darkness and lies, opposite of light and truth. Because the god of this world hath blinded the minds of them which believe not, lest the light of the glorious gospel of Christ should shine unto them (2 Corinthians 4:4);
(ii) change your location. This may include changing the company you keep as well. Jesus “led him out of the town.” Let Jesus lead you henceforth;
(ii) seek help to look. Don’t allow pride and arrogance kill the opportunity to see your miracle. Be humble to ask for help or accept help when offered. Jesus made him look up. The psalmist said, “I will lift up mine eyes unto the hills, from whence cometh my help. It is time to see. Let us pray.
Today’s Recite: Open thou mine eyes, that I may behold wondrous things out of thy law. Psalm 119:18.
Today’s Morning Prayer: O God, I thank You for another new day, new opportunity. Forgive of my past wrong attitude towards You and people around me. Open my eyes to see things differently from today. If you need relocate me, please do. I freely surrender myself to You. I see my miracles, my breakthrough. No more sin. No more bad attitude. I am positive. I am not negative. I see light. Grant me Your grace to keep this new blessings in Jesus name. Amen.
