It came to pass the same day that Isaac’s servants came and told him about the well which they had dug, and said to him, “We have found water.” - Genesis 26:32 (NKJV)
Water is an essential commodity man cannot do without. The human body needs water to survive. About 60-70% of the human body is water, and the remainder 30% is the solid form. Failure to drink water for days will risk the death of body organs starting with the kidneys.
Israel is situated in a desert where water is a scarce commodity. Water is needed for farming, and feeding livestock. For Isaac, finding water was a breakthrough and the most important thing to him and his servants at a moment when frustration met with desperation.
Like Isaac, you could have been struggling to find a greener pasture for yourself. You may have tried many means to site or boost your business. Or you've lost count of the number of applications for jobs. The Lord assures you today, you will find water just as He assured Isaac. “I am the God...for I am with you. I will bless you and multiply your descendants” (Genesis 26:24).
The blessing of the Lord is far exceeding but not without conditions. Although God can choose to bless anyone at will, fulfilling certain conditions guarantees God’s blessings upon you. First, the righteous. “Thou, LORD, wilt bless the righteous; with favour wilt thou compass him as with a shield.” (Psalm 5:12). Second, the obedient. “A blessing, if ye obey the commandments of the LORD...” (Deuteronomy 11:27). Lastly, the hardworking and the relentless. Have you been working hard, begin to experience God’s blessings from this day onward. May the Lord put an end to your frustrations and make you find water in the desert of life today in Jesus' name. Amen!
Today’s Recite: And God Almighty bless thee, and make thee fruitful, and multiply thee, that thou mayest be a multitude of people; (Genesis 28:3).
Today’s Morning Prayer: My heaven father I thank You for another new day of blessings. I receive Your blessings upon the work of my hands.
