COMPATIBILITY

 Be ye not unequally yoked together with unbelievers: for what fellowship hath righteousness with unrighteousness? and what communion hath light with darkness?  - 2 Corinthians 6:14

There are different blood groups in humans. Certain blood groups are not compatible with one another. For instance, an individual with blood group A will not be able to donate to a person with blood group B. Apart from this, some impurities (like infections) may make a blood donation unsafe to be transfused to another person. So in life, there also exist incompatiblities among human beings and between God and man.

Compatibility is the bedrock of a good relationship. To walk with one another, there needs to be an agreement: between husband and wife; children and parents etc. Light and darkness, righteousness and unrighteousness will never align. “God is light and in Him is no darkness at all. if we walk in the light as He is in the light, we have fellowship with one another. (1 John 1:5,7).  

Compatibility is aligning with someone in righteousness, ideas and thoughts. To walk with God, you need to align with God's will. A relationship is threatened when a partner takes opposing sides. Your relationship with God becomes severed when you oppose His will or take sides with His enemies (the world, and Satan). Sin is an impurity-like infection in incompatible blood. “…whosoever…will be a friend of the world is the enemy of God (James 4:4). 

Compatibility promotes love, affection, and unity. You are at peace and happy with people you agree or reconcile with, and so is with God! 

Beloved, when you are compatible with God in holiness, and choice (in marriage, business or career) to walk with Him and even others becomes easy. “Enoch walked with God” because he pleased God (Hebrew 11:5). Your relationship with God and others becomes compatible when differences are removed or settled. This may include letting go of bad habits and embracing positive attitudes that are pleasing to others.

Today’s Morning Prayer: O God, I want to be compatible with You in thoughts, words and deeds. I recieve grace to do Your will. I will obey You. I will love You as You love me. Give me Your grace to walk with You in Jesus name. Amen!
