DECEMBER 3: IT WILL NOT TARRY

IT WILL NOT TARRY

For the vision is yet for an appointed time; But at the end, it will speak, and it will not lie. Though it tarries, wait for it; Because it will surely come, it will not tarry. - Habakkuk 2:3

A family moved from the village to the city to start a business with their meagre finances and the support of their friends. No one was coming into the store for weeks. The man would work in the shop from early in the morning till late at night, barely eating once a day.
After two months of waiting, one customer showed up. He was provided with high-quality service and utmost respect. Through word of mouth, his first customer had told his friends about their store and the customer service he had received. The family business began to see an increase in customers at his shop. Fast-forward to 20 years later, the business expanded to more branches in the city.

Waiting on the Lord entails having hope, patience, and expectation in God’s ability to do all things. We wait on the Lord to provide for our needs, to reveal His glory, and to deliver to us our expectations in career or business. God wouldn't have fixed the creases and messes that would have persisted in our lives if it weren't for the periods of waiting.

Beloved, whatever your expectation is, the waiting time will soon be over. It shall no longer linger. Are you looking a job, a spouse, a financial breakthrough in business? It shall no longer tarry. Hebrews 10:37 says, "For yet a little while, and he that shall come will come, and will not tarry." The Lord will arise and have mercy to deliver you from your present predicament: "for set the time to favour you has come." Don't give up hope. Don’t be idle either, wait on the Lord in prayer for the arrival of God’s blessings, renewal of strength, and answers to all your prayers. For the Lord God is set to make "everything beautiful in his time." (Ecclesiastes 3:11).

Today’s Recite: "I bring near my righteousness; it shall not be far off, and my salvation shall not tarry: and I will place salvation in Zion for Israel my glory." -  Isaiah 46:13 (KJV)

Today’s Morning Prayer: Heavenly Father, I thank You for another new day, new week. Thank You for assuring me today it will no longer linger before You bless me and make me breakthrough. Grant me the grace to patiently wait on You for my needs, strength and expectations.. May Your awaited promises come to pass in my life, family and country in Jesus' mighty name.  Amen
