BORN GALILEAN, GLORIFIED GALILEAN

Men of Galilee, why do you stand gazing up into heaven? This same Jesus, who was taken up from you into heaven, will so come in like manner as you saw Him go into heaven.” - Acts 1:11 (NKJV)

Galilee was the home country of our Lord, Jesus Christ. According to a Harvard professor, "It is noteworthy that of His 32 parables, no less than 19 were spoken in Galilee. Of the recorded 33 great miracles, 25 were wrought in Galilee." It started with His first miracle at the wedding in Cana of Galilee (John 2:11), and the last, after His resurrection, on the shore of Galilee's Sea of Tiberias (John 21:11). In Galilee, our Lord delivered the Sermon on The Mount, and many other teachings on holiness, rapture, humility, etc. In Galilee He called His first disciples; and there occurred the sublime scene of the Mount the Transfiguration (Luke 9:28-36). And His last appearance was in Galilee.

It is no coincidence that it all started in Galilee and ended in Galilee. Galilee was a despised province in Israel. And the worst despised village was Nazareth where Jesus Christ hailed from. Even Nathaniel of Cana (another town in Galilee) once said, “Can anything good come of Nazareth?” of Galilee (John 1:46). It was that bad. But God has always chosen the despised to declare His glory. He chose David, the last born of Jesse. He chose Ruth of Boaz instead of full-bred Israelite. He chose a manger instead of a palace. He chose Galilee for His humble beginning and ascension into glory. “But God has chosen the foolish things of the world to put to shame the wise,...and the base things of the world and the things which are despised God has chosen, and the things which are not, to bring to nothing the things that are, that no flesh should glory in His presence.(1 Corinthians 1:27-29).

Dearly beloved, as God chose Galilee, God has chosen you from among the many He has called. You may have come from a humble and poor home like Jesus, but never be ashamed of this. Don't let anyone despise you. You are designated to be a center of His wonders. You are the “man of Galilee” of your generation, a place for His ascension into glory. You are chosen to manifest His glory. His kingdom and majesty are meant to begin in you and finalise in you at rapture. It all started in Galilee and glorified in Galilee, so you are prepared for ascension into glory when He will come back to you in the same manner.  "Though thy beginning May be small, your latter end shall be great”. Prepare for Christ's return. Be holy, be humble.

Today’s Recite:  Beloved, now we are children of God; and it has not yet been revealed what we shall be, but we know that when He is revealed, we shall be like Him, for we shall see Him as He is. (1 John 3:2)

Today’s Morning Prayers:  O God I thank You for choosing me for Your glory. I asked for grace not to disappoint You. Keep holy, and humble for Your glorious return. May my life reflect Your glory everywhere I go in Jesus Name. Amen!
