YOURS IS THE KINGDOM

“Do not fear, little flock, for it is your Father’s good pleasure to give you the kingdom." - Luke 12:32

You may be among many Christians who have wondered what would become of them in this world and in eternity. After sacrificing so much and then what? But understanding God’s kingdom is understanding your fate in Christ. Understanding God’s kingdom will help you grab the certainty of God’s Kingdom: that it is not a myth or figment of imagination. Paul said, “if only in this life we have hope, then we are of all men most miserable” (1 Corinthians 15:19). But thankfully, Christ’s resurrection became the power changer. The event that finally took over authority and power from sin, Satan and death. It was the most singular indisputable physical confirmation of the supremacy and sovereignty of God’s kingdom and of Christ.

However, God’s kingdom in this world remains invisible, spiritual but real. And it shall soon consume the current perverse physical world. “But of that day and hour knoweth no man, no, not the angels of heaven, but my Father only” (Matthew 24:36). When the kingdom of God becomes physical it will be a brand new replacement of the present world, not a repair, a restructuring, or a revolution by people.

A taste of which you will have the moment you repent, and God welcomes “you into His kingdom and glory” (2 Thessalonians 2:12). That moment you become “a new creature, …and all things are become new” (2 Corinthians 5:17). That moment you become royal priesthood (1 Peter 2:9), joint heirs with Christ (Romans 8:17), “kings and priests who shall reign on the earth” (Revelation 5:10).

God’s wonders and miracles in our midst further confirms the invisible hands at work. Hence Jesus said, “Fear not, little flock; for it is your Father's good pleasure to give you the kingdom (Luke 12:32). “I appoint unto you a kingdom, as my Father hath appointed unto me” (Luke 22:29). “Then shall the righteous shine forth as the sun in the kingdom of their Father” (Matthew 13:43).

Beloved, repent of all your sins, remain steadfast in the faith and forge ahead in your journey. Fret not yourself because of the evil doers who prosper. For by and by, you shall reign with the King of kings and Lord of Lords.

Today’s Recite:  And I saw a new heaven and a new earth: for the first heaven and the first earth were passed away; and there was no more sea. (Revelation 21:1).

Today’s Morning Prayers:  My heavenly Father, I thank You for counting me worthy to be part of Your kingdom. I repent all my sins. I renounce Satan, this sinful world and its pleasures to embrace Your righteousness, peace and joy in the Holy Ghost. Give me power and authority to win and reign with You in Your kingdom. For in Jesus’ name, I pray. Amen!
