August 25: AT THE SET TIME

Daily Companion  | 25 August

AT THIS SET TIME

"But my covenant will I establish with Isaac, which Sarah shall bear unto thee at this set time in the next year." - Genesis 17:21

They waited for years without a child until God promised them their Isaac. Not only did God promise them a child, but an everlasting covenant of prosperity and blessings was established. This was the story of Abraham and Sarah. God promised them a land flowing with milk and honey. “So the LORD gave to Israel all the land of which He had sworn to give to their fathers, and they took possession of it and dwelt in it." Not a word failed of any good thing which the LORD had spoken to the house of Israel. All came to pass." (Joshua 21:45).

The promises of God are in Him, yeah and amen. Even when the promise to Abraham was threatened by self-help, unbelief and unwarranted provocations, God did not fail. He saw the affliction of the children of Israel in Egypt, heard their groaning, and came down to deliver them to Canaan (Acts 7:34, 36; Psalms 102:13).

Beloved, God has seen your labour and struggle. And God has set a time to favour you; a set time to liberate you; a set time to settle and secure you. All the good things God has promised you shall all come to pass. You may not know how, or when, but He will do it at the set time.

To the barren, as the Lord visited Sarah, so it shall come to pass for you. If it seems He has forgotten you, call upon Him, Cry unto Him. His delay is never a denial. Linger not. Remain steadfast. Be patient. Wait for the set time. He will not tarry. If you have been doing good, a book of remembrance must surely be opened concerning you. Trust in Him at all times. Keep on with your good work. The God who rose and had mercy on Zion says this day, "The time to favour you, yea, the set time, is come." He is faithful that promised (Hebrew 10:23).

Today’s Recite: “God is not a man, that He should lie, nor a son of man, that He should repent. Has He said, and will He not do? Or has He spoken, and will He not make it good? - Numbers 23:19

Today’s Morning Prayers: O Lord I thank You for the promise of good things. I ask for the speedy fulfilment of all Your promises in Jesus' name. Grant me the grace to be patient and steadfast till my set time. Make all Your good and great prophesies concerning my career, business, family, ministry come to pass in their set time in mighty Jesus' name. May I not fail You too in my faith and good works. Amen!
