YOU ARE SPECIAL, NOT GENERIC

For thou art a holy people unto the LORD thy God: the LORD thy God hath chosen thee to be a special people unto himself, above all people that are upon the face of the earth. - Deuteronomy 7:6

A teenage girl born into a Christian family was carefree and this led her into exuberant life of immorality, jumping from one man to another, disobedient to her parents and voice of reason from neighbours. One day a woman met her. "Sarah, you are too special to be generic." "Repent and have a brand new special life from Jesus". But Sarah would not listen. The following morning her lifeless body was found on a riverside. 

A generic person is a loose person without self-restraint. A male generic person can sleep with any random woman or streetwalker. They live a careless life. But God didn't create them that way. Sarah was not created generic. God fearfully and wonderfully made each soul on the surface of the earth special, different from one another. From the pattern of your hair to your fingerprints, you are unique. Like the stars, your glory differs from others. “There is one glory of the sun, another glory of the moon, and another glory of the stars; for one star differs from another star in glory” (1 Corinthians 15:41). You are to fulfil a godly purpose on earth. 

Dear friend, every part of your body is meant to be God's. None of them is meant for sale. You cannot use your body anyway, nor run your mouth anyhow. He chose you. Therefore, "Flee fornication, ...but he that committeth fornication sinneth against his own body. What? know ye not that your body is the temple of the Holy Ghost... and ye are not your own? For ye are bought with a price" (1 Corinthians 6:18-20). Heed parental advice. Don't let your life terminate in a tragic end like Sarah's. A special soul strives to belong to Christ by accepting Him as Your Lord and Saviour today. Repent now and the Lord will save you

Today’s Morning Prayer: Heavenly Father, I thank You for creating me a unique soul. Help me to discover my unique potential. I receive your grace and glory as you grant me your righteousness and humility in Jesus' name. Amen!
