April 2: YOU ARE UNIQUE

YOU ARE UNIQUE

“There is one glory of the sun, another glory of the moon, and another glory of the stars; for one star differs from another star in glory” (1 Corinthians 15:41)

There is one indisputable uniqueness of creation. No one is made the same. God fearfully and wonderfully made each soul on the surface of the earth different from one another. From the pattern of the hair, to the fingerprints, everyone is unique. Like the stars, your glory differs from others. It is therefore unnecessary and unwise to compare yourself with another.

Every star always shines but may not be seen to be shining all the time. It doesn’t matter whether people see your star or not, you remaining a unique shining star. Clouds may obscure the visibility of a star. When it rains, you may not see a shining star. During the day, no naked eye may visualize the stars, yet they shine. Stars are most visible when the cloud is clear of the sky at the dark. Hence, there is no point for competition and comparison. "By the way, the disciples had disputed among themselves, who should be the greatest. And Jesus sat down, and called the twelve, and said unto them, "If any man desires to be first, the same shall be last of all" (Mark 9:34, 35). "For the LORD God is a sun and shield: the LORD will give grace and glory: no good thing will he withhold from them that walk uprightly (Psalms 84:11).

Beloved, what the Lord require from you is righteousness and humility. "Humble yourselves therefore under the mighty hand of God, that he may exalt you in due time" (1 Peter 5:6). Have faith in God. Believe also in yourself and your uniqueness. Identify the area of your uniqueness. Improve on what you are good at, something you are better than others at. Focus on this and you soon see yourself soaring with wings as eagle. Are you oblivion to your own star? Seek light from God.

Today’s Recite: They that be wise shall shine as the brightness of the firmament; and they that turn many to righteousness as the stars for ever and ever (Daniel 12:3).

Today’s Morning Prayer: Heavenly Father, I thank You creating me a unique soul. Help me to discover my unique potential. I receive your grace and glory as grant me your righteousness and humility in Jesus name. Amen!
