April 16: YOUR REDEEMER IS STRONGER

Daily Companion  |  16 April

YOUR REDEEMER IS STRONGER

Their Redeemer is strong; The LORD of hosts is His name.He will thoroughly plead their case, That He may give rest to the land, and disquiet the inhabitants of Babylon. - Jeremiah 50:34

He was an injurious man, a murderer, and unrepentant persecutor of the followers of Christ Jesus. His hands had been soiled in the blood of the innocent and he would not cease to put many in pains, anguish and bondage of the prison. Yet he was pardoned and redeemed. That was Saul of Tarsus, turned Paul. The Redeemer was stronger.

You may ask if there exists any sin God cannot forgive. The simple answer is none, except the almost impossible sin against the Holy Spirit. Despite a woman’s terrible past, “her sins which are many were forgiven” (Luke 7:36-48). The Redeemer is stronger. “But where sin abounded, grace abounded much more (Romans 5:20)”. The demon-possessed man from Gaderenes had been under the bondage of the legion for a long time. But the Redeemer was stronger. He was delivered and became a great evangelist. There are mountainous problems that can be so intimidating and overwhelming. They could be in the area of finances, family, career or ministry. Some have, because of same problems, committed physical of spiritual suicide as they could no longer bear them. But the Redeemer is stronger.

Dear friend, there is no mountain too high nor valley too low for our God. He is mighty to save. Are you being tormented by the weight of your sins, drugs, immorality, abortions, fetishism, idolatry, or any sort of abominations? God says, “I know your manifold transgressions and your mighty sins (Amos 5:12). Are you under the terror of the oppressors? You see, the Redeemer, Jesus Christ is stronger than all sins and abominations, mountains and oppressors. He is able “to save them to the uttermost that come unto God by Him. (Hebrew 7:25). All it requires from you today, is a call on Him. He says, “I, the LORD, am your Savior, and your Redeemer, the Mighty One of Jacob.”(Isaiah 49:26).

Today’s Recite:  Therefore He is also able to save to the uttermost those who come to God through Him, since He always lives to make intercession for them. (Hebrews 7:25).

Today’s Morning Prayers: O Lord I thank You for Your redemptive power. I know there is no sin or mountain greater than You. I call upon You to come to my rescue. Redeem me, my family, my business and ministry. I surrender everything unto You. Amen!

Today’s Hymn: CHS 23 - OH COME TO THE FOUNTAIN OF CLEANSING

1. Oh, come to the fountain of cleansing, Dear sinner, why longer delay? The Savior is earnestly pleading, The fountain is open today.

Then come, sinner, come To the fountain so full and so free; Be cleansed from your sin, Be made pure within, The fountain is open for thee.

2. Thy sins though like scarlet or crimson, His love as a river doth flow; .; Oh, plunge in this fountain of cleansing, And thou shalt be whiter than snow.

3. A voice from the cross, ―It is finished! The fountain for sin opened wide; The purchase of life and salvation Through Jesus, the Lamb crucified.

4. Then come, sinner, come to the fountain And plunge in its soul-cleansing wave; Launch out on the infinite mercy, Of Jesus, the Mighty to save.
